Zoning Application

  1. If a Zoning Review conducted by the Zoning Official determines that a proposed use is not permissible, then the written Zoning Determination issued by the Zoning Official will indicate which section(s) of the Zoning Ordinance aren’t met, and the property owner or applicant will be informed that they may submit an application to request a Zoning Variance or Special Use Permit.  Planning Department staff will process the application, submit it to the Zoning Board, and schedule a public Zoning Hearing for the Zoning Board to consider the applicant’s request.  The Zoning Board meets on the second Wednesday of each month.  A completed application and fee must be submitted at least 30 days prior to a Zoning Board meeting in order to appear on the agenda.  The application fee is $50 plus the cost of advertising and postage (to be calculated by staff).”
