Central Falls unveils new mural celebrating diversity by world-renowned artist

CF unveils new city mural in Dexter Plaza

Central Falls, RI (November 29, 2021) – Today the City of Central Falls unveiled its new City mural in Dexter Plaza honoring the City's new branding, embracing the City's culture, and celebrating "Diversity That Inspires" by artist Gabriel Calle Arango.

"This is a huge honor for our City," said Mayor Maria Rivera. "I’m so proud to live in and lead such a beautiful city that celebrates diversity across so many categories. This new mural embraces our City’s diverse cultures, families, and vibrancy. I am blown-away by the work of Gabriel Calle Arango and his gift that he's shared with Central Falls."

Gabriel Calle Arango is an internationally-recognized Colombian artist who has painted more than 500 pieces of artwork around the globe – recently completing work from Spain to nextdoor in Pawtucket, RI. His new mural in Dexter Plaza comes at the heels of the City of Central Falls releasing its new branding this year, moving from the "Comeback City" to the Capital of Diversity, with the new tagline, "Diversity That Inspires."

The mural was made possible thanks to generous fund donations by the Rhode Island Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Navigant Credit Union, and Pawtucket Credit Union.
