Public Hearing - CDBG Affordable Housing Application

PUBLIC HEARINGS

The City of Central Falls is considering the filing of a Rhode Island Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Affordable Housing application seeking funds to upgrade elevators in two residential properties owned and operated by the Central Falls Housing Authority.

Two public hearings will be held at 1280 High Street, Central Falls, RI, on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at 12:00 PM and as part of the Planning Board meeting at 6:00 PM, both to take place for the purpose of obtaining the views of citizens on community development and housing needs, the City’s CDBG application, and on program performance.

The activities to be proposed in the application will be presented during the meetings and comments from the public will be heard. Written or oral comments may also be received during the public participation comment period beginning May 18, 2022 through 12:00 PM on June 8, 2022, in any of the following ways: in-person between the hours of 8:30AM and 4:30PM at the Planning Department, 1280 High Street, Central Falls; by calling 401-727-7480 (8:30AM-4:30PM); by sending mail to the Planning Department, 580 Broad St., Central Falls, RI 02863; or emailing emiller@centralfallsri.us.

1280 High Street is accessible to the handicapped. Individuals requesting interpreter services for the hearing impaired should call the City Clerk’s Office at 727-7400, 72 hours in advance.
