2023 Charter Review Council

2023 Charter Review Council

ABOUT

It’s been more than a decade since the City of Central Falls thoroughly reviewed our governance structure to ensure it supports our 21st century needs. Central Falls last convened a Charter Review Commission in 2012 and Central Falls voters last considered changes to the Home Rule Charter in 2018. It is critical for voters and residents of the City to understand and have a voice in the governance of their community. Mayor Rivera, during her FY2024 Budget Address, announced her plans to launch a Charter Review Council this year, with proposed amendments to the Charter to be approved by voters during the 2023 General Election.
